Next-Generation Mesh WiFi Solutions

Eliminate Dead Zones. Boost Your Speed. Secure Your Network with eero.

The Backbone of Your Smart Home & Business

In today’s world, your security cameras, doorbells, and office tools are only as good as the WiFi that connects them. Protech Rescom specializes in eero Mesh WiFi systems that blanket your entire property in fast, reliable, and secure internet.

What is Mesh WiFi?

Unlike a single traditional router that loses strength the further you walk away, an eero Mesh system uses multiple "nodes" to create a cloud of connectivity. Whether you are in the basement, the backyard, or the boardroom, your devices stay connected to the strongest signal automatically.

Why Professional Installation Matters?

"A great router in the wrong spot is still a bad router."

Anyone can plug in an eero, but Protech Rescom ensures your network is engineered for peak performance:

  • Strategic Placement: We use signal-mapping tools to place nodes exactly where they are needed to penetrate thick walls and eliminate dead zones.

  • Hardwired Backhaul: Whenever possible, we "wire" your eeros together for maximum speed—something DIYers often miss.

  • Ring Integration: If you use Ring Alarm Pro, we configure the built-in eero to act as the brain of your security system, providing 24/7 backup internet.

  • Device Optimization: We handle the setup of your SSIDs, guest networks, and parental controls so you don't have to.

Our Comprehensive WiFi Installation:

  • Pre-Installation Signal Audit: We start with a full site survey of your current WiFi signals and speeds. We identify "dead zones" and interference points to understand exactly where your current network is failing.

  • Custom Hardware Strategy: We recommend the specific eero model (such as the Pro 6E or 6+) and the exact number of nodes based on your square footage, device count, and internet speed requirements.

  • Hardwired Backbone Integration: Whenever possible, we utilize your home’s existing CAT5 or CAT6 wiring to "backhaul" your eero nodes. Hardwiring your system ensures the fastest possible speeds and 100% stability.

  • Custom Post-Wiring & Ceiling Mounts: If your home isn't wired, we can perform "post-wire" installations. If attic access is available, we run high-quality CAT5e or CAT6 cabling to install eero access points directly on your ceilings for a clean, commercial-grade look and superior signal spread.

  • Post-Installation Performance Test: Once the system is live, we conduct a final speed and signal test in every room.

  • App Setup & Orientation: We configure your network name (SSID), password, and security settings. We then walk you through the eero app basics.

  • The Clean-Job Guarantee: Like all our services, we clean up all debris, dust, and packaging after the installation. Your space will be left clean, and your internet will be faster than ever.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes eero better than the router my ISP provided?

Standard routers provided by internet companies are often "all-in-one" devices not built for range. eero uses TrueMesh technology, which actively routes your data through the fastest, least-congested path. This eliminates the "buffering" and dead zones common with standard equipment.

Do I still need my modem?

Yes. eero replaces your router, but you still need a modem from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). We connect your primary eero (the Gateway) directly to your modem and then bridge the rest of your home wirelessly or via existing Ethernet.

How many eeros do I actually need?

As a general rule, one eero covers about 1,500 to 2,000 square feet. However, home layout and wall materials (like brick or plaster) matter more than square footage. During our site survey, we identify how many nodes you need.

What is the "Smart Home Hub" inside eero?

Select eero models (like the Pro 6E and 6+) include a built-in Zigbee Smart Home Hub. This allows you to connect compatible smart lights, locks, and sensors directly to your network without needing extra "bridges" or hubs taking up space on your counter.

Is eero secure?

Extremely. eero automatically pushes over-the-air security updates to your devices, so your network is always protected against the latest threats. For added security, we can help you configure eero Plus, which includes ad blocking, parental controls, and malware protection for every device on your network.

Can I have a separate network for my guests or customers?

Yes. We can set up a "Guest Network" so visitors can access the internet without having access to your private files, printers, or security cameras. For our business clients, we offer eero Business, which includes a professional Captive Portal (a custom login page for your customers).

Did you know?

A hardwired eero node can deliver speeds up to 100% faster than a wireless one. Let us handle the cabling so you can enjoy the full speed of your fiber or cable internet.

What happens if my internet goes down?

We can install and configure the eero Signal or Ring Alarm Pro system to provide an automatic cellular backup. If your primary Internet Service Provider (ISP) fails due to a storm or a local outage, your eero system will automatically switch to a cellular signal. 24/7 Cellular Backup requires an active Ring Home Premium or eero Plus subscription. Speed Disclaimer: Cellular backup is designed as a "fail-safe" to keep your security system, smart locks, and essential communication online. Data speeds over cellular are slower than your primary fiber or cable connection and may vary based on local tower signal strength. It is intended for critical connectivity rather than high-bandwidth activities like 4K video streaming or large file downloads.
